Platform EngineerHelp build and improve a modern enterprise platformFor one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to help build, automate and maintain a modern enterprise platform that supports business-critical applications. In this role, you'll work in a highly automated DevOps environment where reliability, scalability and security are at the core of everything you do. You'll contribute to the development of modern platform capabilities while helping engineering teams deploy and operate applications efficiently.What you'll be doingAs a Platform Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, automating and maintaining platform services and infrastructure throughout the entire application lifecycle. Your responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing and maintaining automation using Ansible and Python.
  • Deploying and managing containerized workloads on Kubernetes.
  • Building and improving CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code solutions.
  • Implementing monitoring, observability and resilient deployment strategies.
  • Developing automated testing and deployment processes.
  • Troubleshooting complex production issues and performing root cause analysis.
  • Continuously improving platform services, deployment pipelines and engineering standards.
  • Participating in architecture discussions, code reviews and knowledge sharing.
  • Contributing to a reliable and highly available production platform.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation (approximately once every two months).What we're looking forWe're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure and platform challenges in enterprise environments. You bring:
  • Experience with Kubernetes, GitLab and VMware.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.
  • Strong experience with Ansible and Python.
  • Experience with SQL databases.
  • Knowledge of GitOps and observability.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Professional proficiency in English. Dutch is considered a strong advantage.Nice to haveExperience with one or more of the following technologies is considered a plus:
  • Kubernetes
  • VMware
  • Ansible

  • Location: Arnhem
  • Working model: Hybrid (2-3 days on-site)
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
