Freelance Lead Azure Integration EngineerFor a client in Gelderland, I am currently looking for an experienced Freelance Lead Azure Integration Engineer with a strong background in Azure integration platforms, API management, and cloud-native architecture. • 32-40 hours per week
• Start: ASAP (starting before 1st of July)
• Freelance assignment - initial 6 months with extension possibleThe assignmentWithin this role, you will take ownership of the Azure integration landscape and help further professionalize the organization's API and integration platform. You will work closely with architecture, DevOps, and development teams to design, improve, and scale Azure-native integrations while driving standards around governance, security, and automation. The environment is heavily focused on cloud transformation, scalability, and modern integration principles.Responsibilities
• Leading the design and evolution of the Azure integration platform
• Acting as the technical lead for API and integration-related topics
• Designing scalable, secure, and maintainable integration solutions
• Supporting and guiding teams in building and consuming APIs
• Driving best practices around API governance and lifecycle management
• Managing platform reliability, observability, and cost-efficiency
• Building and maintaining integrations using Azure-native services
• Implementing Infrastructure-as-Code
