Vacancy - Freelance GCP ArchitectFor a client in the Amsterdam region, I'm currently looking for a Freelance GCP Architect. You have around 8+ years of experience in cloud/platform engineering and enjoy working at the intersection of architecture, governance, and team enablement.Are you someone who takes ownership of a platform and helps teams get the most out of it? Then this could be a strong match.Location: Amsterdam region Start date: ASAP Duration: 6-12 months (extension possible) Hours: 32-40 hoursYour profile

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud/platform engineering
  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture (IAM, networking, environments)
  • Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
  • Certifications (GCP / Terraform) are a plus
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Available for hybrid workingThe assignmentYou'll take ownership of a GCP platform and focus on making it scalable, structured, and easy to use for internal teams.
  • Owning and improving the overall cloud platform setup
  • Defining and maintaining standards, guardrails, and best practices
  • Enabling internal teams (infra, data, dev) to work effectively with GCP
  • Translating requirements into scalable and reusable platform solutions
  • Driving governance, security, and cost efficiency (FinOps)
  • Identifying improvements in platform usage, performance, and cost
  • Supporting teams with templates, patterns, and architectural guidance
  • Aligning stakeholders and driving platform maturity
