AWS DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to strengthen a high-performing engineering team in the Amsterdam region. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on Kubernetes.You will work in an international, English-speaking environment where reliability, scalability, and automation are critical. The role offers flexibility with 2 days per week on-site and the remainder remote.Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS-based cloud infrastructure
• Build and manage Kubernetes (EKS) clusters in production environments
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
• Ensure high availability, security, and performance of systems
• Collaborate closely with development teams and architects
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issuesRequired skills & experience
• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EKS, EC2, IAM, VPC, RDS, etc.)
• Kubernetes expertise is essential (production-level experience)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Solid understanding of CI/CD tooling (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Experience with containerization (Docker)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)Nice to have
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
• Security best practices in cloud environments
