Freelance DevOps Engineer (AWS)

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to support a streaming platform for one of our clients. Do you want to use your expertise in a challenging environment? Read on!

Location: Hybrid, Amsterdam area
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Duration: 3-6 months, with the option for extension
Hours per week: 36 to 40 hours per week

Your Role as Freelance DevOps Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing a fully AWS-based infrastructure for a SaaS streaming platform. You will also assist in evaluating long-term cloud and CDN strategies, considering the expiring AWS contract and potential cost and privacy issues.

Your Tasks:
* Managing and optimizing the AWS infrastructure;
* Ensuring high availability and scalability of video streaming services;
* Supporting cost analysis and contract decisions;
* Researching multi-cloud CDN solutions in Europe;
* Implementing automation and security best practices.

Your Profile

✅ Extensive experience with AWS, including CloudFront, S3, Lambda, RDS, and Redis;
✅ Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation (Terraform, CloudFormation);
✅ Knowledge of CDN solutions and cost optimization in cloud environments;
✅ Experience with privacy regulations (GDPR) and multi-cloud strategies is a plus.
